The Challenge

Viña Costeira faced several operational challenges in maintaining cleanliness across its tightly laid-out production facility. The Gausium Phantas was tasked with cleaning approximately 500 m² spread across three distinct zones: a ceramic-tiled bottling room, painted concrete corridors, and a polished concrete storage area. The compact layout, filled with large stainless steel fermentation tanks and narrow passageways, made manual cleaning increasingly inefficient due to:

• Diverse floor materials, requiring a solution capable of adapting to ceramic tile, painted concrete, and polished concrete surfaces
• Narrow pathways between fermentation tanks, necessitating a compact and highly maneuverable cleaning device
• Strict hygiene standards, critical in the food and beverage industry to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance
• The need for operational continuity, as cleaning had to be performed without disrupting ongoing winery activities

• Automated operation and smart scheduling, reducing manual labor needs and ensuring consistent cleanliness without interrupting daily winery operations

Results & Benefits

Since the deployment of Phantas in March 2025, Viña Costeira has observed a notable improvement in cleaning outcomes. Though specific metrics were not disclosed, the facility team reported enhanced surface cleanliness and consistency across all zones. Additional benefits include:
