Gausium Unveiled Groundbreaking Innovations at Interclean Amsterdam 2024

May 21, 2024

Gausium, honored with six prestigious innovation awards spanning 2022-2023, showcased its latest advancements at Interclean Amsterdam from 14th to 17th May, 2024. Renowned as the foremost provider of robotic cleaning solutions globally and trusted by ten prominent international retail giants, the company has captured significant attention during the show.

Guided by the mantra “The Best Made Even Smarter,” Gausium placed a premium on refining its comprehensive product line, focusing on optimizing both hardware and software components for peak performance. In a significant hardware upgrade, Gausium introduced the latest iteration of the Phantas, originally debuted at Interclean two years ago. The upgraded Phantas now features a smart handle, designed to streamline transport and enable basic operations such as cleaning mode selection through intuitive hard buttons. This innovation reflects Gausium’s commitment to customer-centricity, incorporating valuable feedback gathered over the past two years.

Another highlight at Gausium’s booth was the unveiling of an upgraded version of its AI-powered Auto Spot Cleaning technology, which, now paired with a smart watch for the cleaning operator, marks a shift from traditional “surveillance-based spot cleaning” to “on-demand spot cleaning.” According to the presenter, Peter Kwestro, whenever the robot detects waste too large for it to handle during its cleaning operation, a message push appears on the smart watch, alerting the operator to intervene. Such advancements were made possible through the utilization of the company’s proprietary algorithms.  Gausium developed an intelligent cleaning system to facilitate genuine two-way communication between cleaning operators and robots, addressing a crucial industry gap.

This groundbreaking development represents a global premiere, showcasing an unprecedented level of innovation in the cleaning sector. It transcended traditional co-bot levels, amplifying the value of Gausium’s acclaimed cleaning robots. For the first time, these robots operated “proactively” like real human cleaners while delivering heightened efficiency, reduced cost of clean, and bridging the gap caused by the scarcity of labor.

The company’s commitment to excellence and innovation extends beyond just its robotic solutions to encompass comprehensive floor solutions, including its cutting-edge coating technology known as “VFC,” or Vitrification Floor Concept.

According to Gausium, VFC features coating systems that adopt a glass-based agent with its main components silicone plus silica, the key element forming the glass. The coating technology is developed to uphold a high-quality finish over an extended period, comparable to applying a thin glass film to the floor. In contrast to conventional resin-based coating agents, its primary component shares properties with glass, resulting in high hardness, gloss, and superb resistance to water, oil, acid, and alkali. The VFC coating systems, when paired with Gausium’s robotic cleaning solutions, can further slash cleaning costs, conserving water, chemicals, energy, and time.

As the vanguard of autonomous cleaning solutions, Gausium’s booth hummed with activity during the Interclean show, drawing in a steady stream of visitors. Within the Robot Arena, Gausium proudly showcased its flagship robotic models: the renowned Scrubber 50 and the innovative Phantas. Spectators were treated to captivating live demonstrations, with Scrubber 50 stealing the spotlight as it showcased its pioneering Auto Spot Cleaning technology.

Beyond the immediate impact seen at the event, Gausium’s presence at Interclean underscored its ongoing commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the cleaning industry. By continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible, Gausium is not only transforming the way cleaning tasks are performed but also reshaping perceptions of cleanliness and hygiene, leading the charge towards a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable future for all.
