Gausium Receives First UKAS-Accredited ISO/IEC 27701:2019 Certification Issued by SGS China

On June 3, Gausium was awarded the ISO/IEC 27701:2019 Privacy Information Management System certification by SGS in Shanghai. This is the first UKAS-accredited ISO 27701 Privacy Information Management System certification issued by SGS China.

The certification ceremony was attended by Gausium’s CTO Baoxing Qin, R&D Director Yeqing Xu, Cloud Services R&D Director Yulin Hu; and from SGS, General Manager of the Management and Assurance (East China Division) Huijun Chen, and Division Manager Xinlong Xu.

ISO/IEC 27701:2019 is an extension of the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard, focusing on privacy information management. The standard requires organizations to implement additional privacy controls based on ISMS to ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of personal information throughout its lifecycle—from collection, storage, and use to sharing and destruction.

In 2022, Gausium received the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System certification from SGS. The acquisition of the ISO/IEC 27701 certification marks an enhancement in Gausium’s privacy information security management. This certification, recognized internationally, underscores Gausium’s leadership in privacy information management and user privacy protection. It enhances the company’s credibility and trustworthiness among clients and partners, particularly in Europe, where stringent data protection standards are a top priority.
