3 Gausium Robots Take On Floor Cleaning Across 6 Levels of Huainan Aegean Shopping Mall

Overview

Huainan Aegean Shopping Mall is a large commercial complex in Anhui Province, combining retail, dining and entertainment. To ease the strain of repetitive floor cleaning and make its quality more consistent, cleaning contractor Jitmell deployed a shopping mall robot floor scrubber fleet of three Gausium robots across the mall’s public areas and underground garage. After two months in service, the robots handle most of the high-intensity floor cleaning, and the project is now Jitmell’s benchmark for smart cleaning.

The Challenge

Huainan Aegean Shopping Mall is one of the area’s most recognized commercial complexes, combining shopping, dining and entertainment. Dust mopping and scrubbing its floors is repetitive, physically demanding work. Over time, manual cleaning puts heavy pressure on staff, and the cleaning quality is hard to keep consistent.

Jitmell, which provides cleaning services for the mall, decided to bring in smart equipment to ease the workload and make daily cleaning more standardized.

The Solution

The shopping mall robot floor scrubber fleet now covers the mall’s public areas and garage:

• One Omnie unit handles daily dust mopping and scrubbing across the public areas on floors 1-4.
• Two Scrubber 75 units perform deep cleaning of the driving lanes and parking spaces on garage levels B1 and B2 at night.

With Jitmell’s equipment support, staff training and local service, the robots have become part of the daily operation. Night cleaning in the garage and scheduled cleaning in the mall are now standard routines.

The Results

Over two months, the robots have taken on most of the high-intensity floor cleaning. Cleaning results are more even and stable, and the system fits the mall’s operating rhythm.

For the cleaning team, the work has changed.

“We used to bend over and push the machine around at night, and one round was exhausting,” said the mall’s cleaning supervisor. “Now the robots follow their routes, and we handle the supplementary work and the edges.”

Fan Yun, project manager at Huainan Aegean, said the benefits go beyond the workload:

“The robots have taken on most of the heavy floor cleaning and greatly eased the burden on our cleaning staff. The results are more even and stable, and customers recognize it.”

A Model for Wider Rollout

Huainan Aegean is now Jitmell’s benchmark project for smart cleaning.

“We will use the mature experience here as our standard and gradually extend it to our other service projects,” Fan Yun said.
