Since January 23, 2025, Gausium’s Scrubber 50 has been in operation at Caihong Bridge Station, a major interchange on Guangzhou Metro’s Line 8 and Line 11. With a total floor area exceeding 86,000 square meters, the station is one of Guangzhou’s busiest transit bubs. Operating autonomously around the clock, the robot performs both dust mopping and scrubbing across critical passenger areas. Supported by a dedicated workstation that enables automated charging and water management, Scrubber 50 plays a central role in Guangzhou Metro’s strategy to modernize and optimize its cleaning operations.

O desafio

The combination of high passenger volume, extended operating hours, and expansive station layout makes Caihong Bridge Station a particularly demanding environment for cleaning staff. Traditional manual methods were insufficient to maintain cleanliness during peak periods and could not ensure full coverage throughout the day. GAN Meiying, cleaning team leader at the Caihong Bridge Station, state:

“Metro stations get dirty quickly, especially during peak hours. Sometimes right after we clean, it gets dirty again. In sudden situations, manual labor simply can’t keep up.”

The Solution – Gausium Scrubber 50

Scrubber 50 is Gausium’s multi-award-winning robotic floor scrubber, purpose-built for autonomous cleaning in large, high-traffic commercial and public spaces. Designed to handle large coverage with high efficiency, it integrates sweeping, dust mopping and scrubbing capabilities. Powered by multi-sensor fusion and AI-driven navigation, Scrubber 50 delivers consistent, precise cleaning performance even in complex environments.

At Caihong Bridge Station, one unit of Scrubber 50 was deployed to perform scheduled cleaning operations across major station zones. It is paired with a smart workstation that enables automatic charging, water refilling, and wastewater discharge, allowing for uninterrupted, unattended operation throughout day and night shifts.
